Boys Need Their Fathers

Mothers can be many things, but we can't be a father. We can be the best mother that we can be but we can not fill those shoes. Our young males are falling by the wayside because fathers are not stepping up to the plate!! I can teach my son that he should open the door for a lady and I can surely teach how to be a good productive person but there are just some things that I can not teach him.

Today I am a little appalled because I see men that say that my father was not really that active in my life. Even some that were living in the same home as their sons. Then they wonder why so many of our young men are ending up in the prison system. If parents don't keep them out of the streets then the streets will claim them. When children feel that they can not talk to parents then who will they turn to??

When the environment that children are raised up in is one that is not good, then how are children expected to learn since parents are their first teachers? When a father is not a good example for his son, how does he expect his son to be any better. Unfortunately we live in a society that too many fathers are not setting the proper foundation for their sons and as a result the whole foundation is crumbling. Fathers that can't even manage the home properly. Fathers that are abusive to the boys mother. Fathers that have no morals or values in life. Fathers that are not supportive. Fathers that have turned their backs on their children.

Theses things have great affects on boys! Maybe the child is in sports and never has the support of a father but watches his other team mates get that type of support from their fathers. Maybe the boy is going through changes in his body and does not know how to handle those changes. Maybe he sees his mother mistreated and as a result starts dating and treats his girlfriend bad. Maybe he sees his father not managing the finances of the household and as a result he does the same with his family.

I do not write this to bash fathers because I realize that their are some good fathers out there. I write this to bring awareness. Fathers do not allow the streets to dictate to your sons how life should be. Teach them about the enemy that lies within some of this rap music that teaches our children how to be violent. Do not allow these gangster rap artist be the role model for your son. You be the role model for him. You should be your child's mentor. Then give back by mentoring another child that does not have a father. He needs you emotionally, physically, and in every way. It is ok to hug him and it is ok to tell him that you love him.

Take a look at my hub article on this subject.

Supportive bible verses:

proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

I Timothy 5:8

But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Ephesians 6:4

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.

People it is time to break chains!!! People have been deceived by the enemy too long! Generational curses must be broken!!!!! To break these chains first people need to admit that their is a problem. Then allow God to step in and help with the rest!!

There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain!!!!!
